A huge (2o cubic yard) dumpster was delivered to our backyard on Tuesday, thanks to my brother's connections at Cromwell (a local restoration company). After just two days of shovelling debree, it's already nearly full. When it arrived, I thought we'd fill it half full - maybe! We're still not done yet.
Never underestimate how much crap you have!
But its arrival (and imminent departure) signifies another important milestone: the end of the demolition. Well, ok, not really, since we still have more demo work to do, but it's the end of demolition for awhile. The dumpster has all the wood from our front and rear decks, all of the plaster from Kayleigh's room and the main floor kitchen/family room area, a tonne (two actually!) of stucco, and a few hundred square feet of old vinyl siding. It's a very big relief to see it all go away!
